Craig Brundridge founded Amaron Construction Company in California where he built projects for Disney and many Fortune 500 companies. He grew up building in Colorado and graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University with an emphasis on Business, Construction, Design and Engineering.
Craig’s talents in construction were inherited from his Great Grandfather who built the clock tower that still stands today in downtown Denver, Colorado. Craig began his construction career by building a skateboard with his Dad in the 5th grade and later as a sophomore in high school winning the “Best of Show” project at the woodworking show. The judge of the woodworking show hired Craig to work at his cabinet shop in the evenings after school sports practices ended.
Craig felt such pride in what he had accomplished that he knew he wanted to build for a living. Rather than graduate early from high school Craig used his senior year working as an intern building homes to save money for college.
Craig relocated to California where his boss and mentor at the construction company taught him valuable procedural and organizational skills that formed his habits of efficiency and quality to this day. The projects that he worked on were large multimillion dollar commercial and institutional structures.
Craig’s goal was to run his own construction company. When the time came he founded Amaron Construction Corporation in Orange County, California and Utah. He built projects for large corporations in California including Disneyland and custom homes in Utah. Craig sold Amaron in 1996 with the right to bring the Amaron name to team up with his step brother Mark Folkestad in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Thus the company name Amaron – Folkestad General Contractors.
Craig and Mark were best friends beginning in 3rd grade when Mark moved to Colorado. They worked together roofing a barn and building waterbeds. At one point Craig and Mark told their parents that they were going to drop out of high school to build waterbeds. Their parents, without hesitation, informed the boys that they were going to finish school. The pair teamed up in 1996 to Form Amaron-Folkestad General Contractors.
Today, Craig enjoys “Making Dreams a Reality” for the customers he builds with. It is a team effort and Amaron-Folkestad works with that team (owner, architect, designer, engineer, banker, subcontractors, and suppliers) to build the client’s vision. Some of those dreams have been: a first home, an energy efficient home, a home with an observatory to study the stars, a cave to store a wine collection, a contemporary delight, a mountain rustic lodge, a log cabin, a second home, a new office, a gas station, a store, a hotel, a doctors office, a bank, a raised garden, and the story continues… make your dream become a reality.
